Kelly Wearstler home collection: a studio shaped by rooms, material and form

Kelly Wearstler has led a Los Angeles design studio for more than three decades, working across private residences, hotels, workplaces, product design and brand partnerships. She founded her firm in 1995, then built a body of work that ranges from the Proper hotels in Santa Monica, Austin and San Francisco to the Four Seasons Anguilla.

I keep coming back to the way her work lets lighting and furniture act as sculpture without losing their use. Wearstler is part of Architectural Digest's AD100, and Proper Hotels notes she was the first interior designer to teach a MasterClass, but her own point of view always starts with the room and its material story.

The 2026 Kelly Wearstler home collaboration is made to move

Her 2026 H&M Home furniture collaboration contains twenty-nine pieces and was photographed in a private house in the Hollywood Hills. The concept follows flexible furniture that can join, separate and reconfigure, from one chair by a window to a group around a larger table.

That idea feels right for the season: a lamp close at hand for long evenings, seating that can gather friends, and serving pieces ready for the table. Wearstler's 2023 book Synchronicity, published by Rizzoli, follows seven recent residential and hospitality projects, including Austin and Santa Monica Proper, and makes a good companion to the collection's sense of place.

Where I would start with Kelly Wearstler's home style

I would begin with the Bolete Small Table Lamp and the Dune Carafe. Keep the surrounding surfaces open and let their forms do the talking. It is a simple way to bring sculptural design into the room for the colder months.
