From Hair Pins to Velvet Bows: How Much Hair Accessory Do You Want
How much accessory
Some days I want my hair held and nothing else. Other days the accessory is the entire outfit. This edit runs from the most minimal piece to the most dramatic, and each step up adds a little more attitude.

Hair Pins and Ponytail Barrettes
The Hair Pin is a French chignon-inspired shape, 12 cm long, designed to work with all hair types: twist, tuck, pin. Pink Sugar is a pearly pink, Tortoise and Tortoise Hibiscus are the warm classics, and Noir is the one that goes with everything. The Ponytail Barrette, at 1.18 by 3.74 inches in cellulose acetate with a French-style clasp, is the elastic alternative. Grey Smoke and Pink Cloud are soft, Blue Cherry Picnic is a gingham with a tiny cherry, and Tortoise Cherry is the richest of the four.

Bow Barrettes in Ribbon and Velvet
The Bow Barrette is a ribbon bow with a small stone adornment, and it is the easiest bow to wear because it is not precious. Fireside is a deep plaid-toned brown that looks good with camel, cream and black alike. Clip it at the nape of a low ponytail or at the crown of a half-up. The Iconic Velvet Bow Barrette is velvet with a stone adornment, the most formal piece here. Mocha Mousse is a warm caramel brown that lets the bow be the statement without the red. This is what I would wear to a holiday dinner with an otherwise plain outfit.
How much is enough
Choose the pin when you want to disappear and the velvet bow when you want to be remembered. Everything in between is how much of your day is spent in the mirror.
